ASTHMA MANAGEMENT

What is Asthma?

Asthma is a chronic condition that makes the airways in your lungs inflamed and sensitive. When triggered, these airways narrow, causing difficulty breathing.

Common Symptoms

  • Shortness of breath
  • Wheezing
  • Chest tightness
  • Coughing(often at night or early morning)

What Causes Asthma Flare-Ups?

Flare-ups happen when something irritates your airways.

Common Triggers

  • Allergens(pollen, dust mites, pets, mold)
  • Respiratory infections
  • Exercise
  • Smoke, perfumes, or strong odors
  • Weather changes
  • Stress
  • Air pollution

Knowing your triggers is one of the most important steps in controlling asthma.
